COMING
NOVEMBER
2025
Welcome to Dank & Draft, a Washington craft beer game where we’re all taproom owners competing to build the best lineup of local brews.
Featuring real Washington breweries, a bit of friendly sabotage, and just the right amount of chaos on tap — all in 20 minutes or less. Draft beers from rotating taps, add them to your taproom, and play action cards to steal, spoil, or recycle your way to victory.
HOW TO
WIN
Each beer in your taproom is worth 1 point. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.
SET UP
-
Shuffle the deck of cards.
-
Deal 3 cards to each player.
-
Create a 3x3 grid in the middle of the table (“the taps”)
-
Place the remaining cards in a draw pile next to the grid. You’ll use these to refill the taps after each player’s turn.

ABOUT THE CARDS
Each card features a real Washington brewery—so as you play, you’re sampling the best of our local craft scene.

Hold your cards with the beer-side facing you (like most traditional card games). The action side faces outward, visible to your opponents. You can never play the actions from your own hand. Those actions are for your opponents to use against you.
ON YOUR TURN
Each turn has up to 4 phases, played in order:
-
Draft Beers (mandatory)
-
Play an Action Card (optional)
-
Offer Beers in Your Taproom (optional)
-
Discard (if necessary)
1. Draft
At the start of your turn, you MUST always pick any 3 cards in a horizontal or vertical line from the taps and add them to your hand. You cannot draft diagonally.

If the taps have empty spaces (usually near the end of the game), you must still draft exactly 3 cards.

SPOIL
Destroy up to 3 beers of the same type from another player’s taproom and place them in the discard pile.

Recycle
Shuffle the discard pile back into the draw pile, then take another turn.

Snatch
Steal 1 beer of the same type from each player’s taproom and add them to your own.

Stock Up
Take up to 3 beers of the same type from the taps and add them to your taproom.
2. Take Action (Optional)
Take one card from an opponent’s hand and immediately perform the action printed on the back.
After completing the action, place this card in the discard pile.

3. Offer Beers in Your Taproom (Optional)
Beers are placed in stacks in front of you, grouped by beer type. A stack may only contain one beer type (e.g., all Stouts or all Pilsners).

Once you’ve created a stack for a beer type, you cannot add to it again for the rest of the game. Any matching beers you draft later will stay in your hand and count as –1 point each at the end of the game.

Exception: If you play a Stock Up or Snatch action, you may add the newly gained beers to an existing stack of that type in your taproom.
4. Discard (If necessary)
At the end of your turn, if you have 7 or more cards, you must discard down to 6 cards. Place any discarded cards face-up into the discard pile.
END GAME
The game ends immediately when either:
-
A player has all 5 beer types in their taproom, or
-
Players can no longer draft 3 cards from the taps.
SCORING
+1 point for each beer in your taproom
+5 points if you have all five beer types
–1 point for each card remaining in your hand
The player with the highest total wins. In the event of a tie, the player with fewer cards left in hand wins.
A FINAL WORD
A special thanks to Aly at Handsome Meatball for design expertise, Seattle Printworks for manufacturing, and to the participating Washington breweries that inspired Dank & Draft.
